I AM COMPLETELY SURPRISED AT THE ELIMINATION OF SONAKSHI.WITH THIS,WE HAVE MISSED A TALENTED,CONFIDENT AND A WONDERFUL SINGER .I SINCERELY HOPE SHE IS TAKEN BACK BY THIS SO-CALLED WILD CARD ENTRY.

thats the whole idea..i think it was to spice up gossip and interest in the show…she did not even show much emotions..im sure she will be back in wild card.

Sunakshi’s elimination is completely disaster to the show and she must be brought back at any cost.
we cannot afford to lose the gr8 talent.

Yes i also feel same because she is a great singer and most important she is very comfident. At the theatre round when every one was feeling afraid she was confident. So at the elemintion of her i feel very bad.
Sorry to say, Contestants selection is very poor and their singing is not up to the mark. I rather say, Bhanu
got voice and if he is guided properly then he could be the Next indian idol.
btw-are you so naive as to believe that the ‘audience’ actually voted out the contestants? I personally know two of the contestants who have hired people to send SMSes all night (I even saw one of the groups-they were all sitting together and sending SMSes all night).
As for Sunakshi (or the Teddy bear girl)-wait and watch-I will eat my hat (or whatever else you choose) if she is not brought back in via the wild-card round. Its all a game of TRPs. Its nice to see that they do succeed in convincing people that its actually ‘reality’. some more stuff-if I tell you-I was actually IN the studio when the boys episode was shot (its done at RK Studios chembur, and I was there for an errand)-ALL the judges comments are pre-scripted. Sonali actually flubbed her lines twice and had to look down. when I noticed this-I wanted to see if she was writing something during the performance-which she was reading later-she was NOT!!!. That kinda explains why sometimes comments do not match performances. I even spoke to one of the eliminated contestants later-she told me that some of the lines she spoke on stage were actually told to her. Even the ‘prank’ was being read from a script. So there goes the ‘reality’ of the show.
my take-Sunakshi is in by votes-but has been replaced by some other girl-who will be kicked out next round-and sunakshi will be brought back in wild card. if you don’t believe me-check out the sify Indian Idol website. It already has a poll running to that effect.
bottomline-the votes are counted-but probably never used. The show directors decide who’s in or who’s out (unless someone has OVERWHELMING support-like Prashant Tamang -the en masse voting including govt. support would have been hard to fudge)-while the indian public like the gullible idiots that they are-keep sending votes that put more money into the mobile phone companies’ kitties-which is also shared with the channel. Anyway-the mobile phone cos make money, the channel gets TRPs and makes money, the contestants get to sing on stage in front of millions of people, and people get a fervour feeling by voting-so its actually a win win for all-perhaps except for talent.

This is fantastic! So very true..whatever, VT Bhardwaj has commented is actually the reality. In fact all reality shows are a good work of fiction… almost everything is scripted to sensationalise a show and make people to believe in the false drama with a false sense of participation.

Another Thing. I remember that the judges had excellent words of praise for two of the eliminated contestants-Sunakshi and Purnima. they spoke at length about purnima’s attitude, voice etc-however-not a mention was made when the show was telecast. Instead it was as if all the judges disappointment was targeted at Sunakshi. If you watch the rerun-you will notice that Javed akhtar was the only one who did not talk about Sonakshi’s elimination-reason-? he mentioned Sonakshi and Purnima together (saying he was sorry at their eviction)-and therefore since the channel wanted to focus only on Sonakshi-that part was edited out!!!

I think you are right. There is a lot of behind the scene affair.
Like Anthony Giddens has said “today’s reality is mass mediated reality”, meaning reality is what is presented to you by the media, not what is actually there.
hi i m sakshi….I think Sonakshi’s elimination is a big shock for the whole nation..she;s really good…n as the judges said ..its their loss to loose a singer like her..But i m sure she’ll be definitely there in the wild card…Bcoz indian idol widout her is incomplete..wish her best of luck and plz guys vote for her this time in d wild card…plzzzzzzzzzzzzz
