no offense but it’s about time ankita got out.
i felt that if any girl could’ve and should’ve come in the top 4, it should’ve been Deepali.
She was fantastic and she will be successful in the future.

Besides that, I’d like to congrtulate Prashant dai for continously never coming in the bottom. You need to work harder and show Javed Akhtar what Nepali people can do.

Javed Akhtar was very rude and he’s dreaming if he thinks that Ankita was good.
She couldn’t sing well and her departure was overdue.

I am so glad that Ankita was out! She was the one who caused Deepali so much trouble! She was so cunning to blame stuff on Deepali with her tears! now I am so glad.. This should have happened a long time ago!
Her singing abilities? Hah! Even a donkey can sing better than her…

Zaved Akhtar appeared like a spoiled brat, first by trying to predict Emon’s future as a playback singer, and then when confronted by Anu Malik he would not allow him to speak! This was absolutely outrageous and shameful on the part of Mr. Akhtar, whom at one point of time I thought was a fair judge. His support for Ankita displayed immature and rather silly thinking process that only a person with a lower intellect would do.

Indian Idol competition though a visual program, is intended for the TV audience, is not a sister program of Boogie-Woogie. It is one where singing talent supersedes the so-called “performance” criteria, which partial judges like Javed Akhtar has been touting for some time. In fact, far more talented female candidates like Deepali, Semu Chenwal, and of course Pooja were all out voted because the judges like Javed Akhtar and Udit Naryan were able to influence the public voting pattern through their snide remarks. The people will recall that Deepali and Pooja were forced by Javed Akhtar to divert their attention from singing to “performing”. Both Deepali and Pooja failed to please the public with their so-called “dhamaka” performances, as a result thrown out from the competition.

Ankita was eliminated in an earlier round, but I understand that Mr. Javed Akhtar must have pulled all the strings that he had, to revive her back into the thick of things. Unfortunately, Ankita was neither a singer, nor a performer, and this is as far as she could come given the backing of the judges.

Judging by “performance”, Ankita does not measure up very well either. She is not what one would call a “stunning” beauty, and her motions and actions are somewhat predictable and monotonous and never so attractive that some ordinary street dancers are incapable of performing at the Ganapati Bappa or the Durga Puja ceremony as a street performer. More so, when she is barely 5 feet in height!

So, Mr. Akhtar, you have been a disgrace as a judge because you were not judging this competition objectively. You had an agenda and that was to promote a female candidate (even though she was the worst among the other females) just to pretend and show off that you are all for “Bharitaya Naari”. I have found your attitude to be incapable of being a judge at any level. Please resign from this and let the true talent be the winner. I have far more faith in the judgment of the Indian people; at least they are honest in picking the winner of their choice. There is one suggestion for you and that would spare us from your self-promoting uprightness. Please go and write two-cents worth lyrics, which cater to the intellectual needs of the paan-waallahs, and the brothel- pimps, at which you are quite distinguished.

Mr. Javed Akhtar was right in his own right to express his thoughts like every other judge. It is Anu Malik’s stubborn and runover attitude that he is overruns on each judge’s comments.

It happened various times in the past episodes with Alisha and Udit Narayan, only difference being in this case is… Mr. Javed Akhtar had a way to block this where as the other two judges coudn’t stand up.

Anu Malik should give up overriding other judges with his stuff regardless of what he feels. He is given a chance for his comments and thats it.

And…

Mr. Javed Akhtar was backing all of the good girls, right from Smitha to Deepali to Puja. All I think he was trying to convey was ppl are not voting enough for female contestants. Otherwise, everyone (including Mr. Javed Akhtar) himself know that Ankita is a not a great singer.

Oh yeah, he could have been a little softer on Emon by not detailing Emon’s prospectives.
But believe it or not he hit the nail right in the head by expressing his thoughts. There are more than a dozen singers lined up in Sonu Nigam’s Jyonour/style and no one has any place in the playback singing nor likely to have.

Net-Net: He didn’t try to show any favoritism nor was he biased. He did a fantastic job in breaking Anu Mailk’s habbit of overriding other judges’ opinions. At the same time he should have refrained from being so open with Emon and should have used ustal intellectual words which he normally does. End of story.

I would want Prashant to win eventually.. AND,
I can bet that Prashant is going to win!
I love all 3 voices…but what i admire most abt Prashant is that he is not a trained vocalist or singer, and despite severe criticism from the judges, he is calm, he has improved a great deal in singing and his performance, no big drama and tears and no extreme emotion like all other drama kings n queens of indian idol 3 top 10′s. He is naively innocent, one singer whose voice makes our hearts melt. General people love his nature, his smile, and are appreciating his efforts.
They know that he is the one who can excel far better if given the opportunity.
Despite all the inside politics going through SONY and what not ( they tried all possible ways to let his popularity down because they want a POP sensation to market their sales.. someone like Emon, who is good looking, and Ankita, who is a solid performer: They made Prashant act like a security guard so that his own fans would turn him down, failed to mention his code and didnt even mention that SMS code is changed after his perfomance in 10th gala, religion/region n nationality biased judges who do not see how far he has come or has achieved but instead try pulling his leg .. etc), it is his soothing voice, gentle nature and carefree attitude that allure the general people! It is not true that only people from his region or his local people are voting for him enormously. The whole of india has this opportunity to choose their IDOL. They have chosen him so far because of these rare qualities that the other contestants do not possess and not just because only the people from Darjeeling or police force or his fans are voting for him enormously.
If given the time and opportunity and even 2/5th of the vocal training that Emon or Amit had, Prashant can become the no. 1 singer in India…
I personally feel that his voice reminds me of kumar sanu and that I feel that i would not miss kumar sanu that much when I listent to him.

THanks for reading…
Jay Hind!

I don’t understand how a person like Javed Akhtar can try to demoralize a person. It is so harsh and rude and childish. I can’t still believe that he was shouting like this. It was aweful. First of all who is he to allow other judges to talk? Why the producer of the show allow this? Emon sounds like Sonu – agreed. But, does not mean that Javed can tell that Emon cannot be successful in his life. Emon should bring him to the court. Javed was telling that there is a bias in the society but I see that he is totally biased to Ankita. It is good that he wants to promote the girls (“narishakti”) but what if the girl cannot sing? Still you will be biased? Seriously, it is shame for a program that we are depending on such a judge who does not respect a human being and his potential. Shame on you Javed, shame!!!

Javed Akhtar was so cheap. I don’t know if all these are just to make the TRP high, but whatever it is, it is so cheap. Emon should go to court and sue him for hurting his feeling and dream.

Just for everyone to remember that Emon has just completed his 18th birthday recently, and is no more than a kid with a great talent. The other evening when Sonu Nigam was a guest at the show he unequivocally admitted that Emon was extremely talented at this very young age. It was not only Sonu, but every single guest star had great things to say of this little kid.

Agreed that Sonu is Emon’s favorite and he tries to emulate him, but was that not the same for Sonu when he was single tracked in trying to copy Md Rafi’s songs? Where was Zaved Akhtar then? I did not hear him criticize Sonu Nigam for copying Md. Rafi! Is this not hypocrisy?

That evening, Mr. Akhtar sounded more like Saddam Hussein! He had the last word as a judge, and he wend way overboard in his remarks against Emon regarding his future as a playback singer, which was unbecoming of a senior citizen. In our society, it is customary for the older folks to encourage the young. Here Mr. Akhtar was yelling at the top of his voice “No, No, No” “I will not allow you to talk” … What chutzpah! What audacity! The comments were not only stupid and silly, but also hateful. There were many instances when Mr. Akhtar criticized other judges following their comments! Why was he so arrogant and rude in belittling Mr. Anu Malik in front of his daughter Anmol, especially when Mr. Malik was basking in the glory of his daughter’s stunning debut performance that evening?

The fact is, Mr. Akhtar showed a glimpse of his hate riddled character. After all, it is difficult to hide a man’s character and project one that is a show and a sham! Thanks Mr. Akhtar for showing us your true self. You are boisterous, you are rude, you are uncivilized, and above all, you came out as a bad human being!

he knew that ankita was gonna be out. and the only other singer he knew who would make and look good as an indian idol (in his belief) is Emon. By creating such comments, he is making indians agitated so that they can vote more for Emon.

BTW.. I LOVE PRASHANT BHAIYA’S VOICE THE MOST… SO I WILL VOTE FOR PRASHANT NO MATTER HOW MUCH THIS SONY TV OR THE JUDGES FAVOR EMON … OR AMIT.. ALL 3 ARE COMPETITIVE SINGERS BUT THERE IS A MIRACULOUS KASHISH IN PRASHANT’S VOICE…
